On October 17, the FIRST2RUN project was among the protagonists of the walking exhibition “Bio-based Economy Made in Europe” in Bratislava. The exhibition was part of the Bratislava Bioeconomy Conference, organized by the Slovak Presidency of the Council of the European Union and supported by the European Commission. The conference intends to highlight good practices and initiatives for regional development.

Through a guided tour the participants were able to observe the concrete solutions offered by the bioeconomy:  products from renewable sources thanks to significant investments in research and development of new technologies. Among these, even bioproducts made by FIRST2RUN project, starting from low input oilseed crops (such as thistle), cultivated on arid and/or marginal land.

The exhibition was organized by the Bio-Based Industries Joint Undertaking (BBI), the public/private partnership between the European Union and a BIC, Bio-based Industries Consortium and responsible for funding the FIRST2RUN project.
