It brought together all of BBI JU ongoing projects, including FIRST2RUN, who were given an opportunity to present their consortium and the details of their project in a dedicated exhibition and in thematic workshops.

On 6 December, projects were grouped together thematically and invited to bring up to three representatives to talk about their work in the project. Cecilia Giardi, as Project Coordinator, presented FIRST2RUN in the thematic sessions on “Agri‐food”.

On 7 December the BBI JU welcomed the public to attend a day full of information, to listen to speakers and expert panellists discuss the strategic importance of the bio‐based economy and the BBI JU’s key role in implementing this across Europe. Luigi Capuzzi, FIRST2RUNProject Manager and head of NOVAMONT’S research, in the session “New markets, new products” explained the experience gained by Novamont in the coordination of FIRST2RUN project and the importance of tools to support the development of integrated supply chains and innovative products in the bioeconomy.
